Studio Sound at the Push of a Button

Standard home recordings can often sound flat and sterile. Volt 4 Gen 2 solves this by imbuing your tracks with rich analog circuitry right at the recording stage. Its dual Tone Shaping Preamps feature three selectable character profiles — Warmth, Focus, and Shine — allowing you to quickly add the distinctive harmonic depth of iconic Tube, Solid-State, and British Class-A consoles to your microphones and line inputs.

Smart Level Management

Focus on making music without constantly checking meters. Volt 4 Gen 2’s bright Smart Display gives you immediate, high-definition visual feedback over your inputs and output levels. Coupled with onboard Auto-Gain, the interface calculates your ideal gain settings in seconds, while integrated Clip Protection prevents volume spikes from ruining an otherwise perfect performance.

Flexible Routing and Digital Expansion

As your studio setup grows, Volt 4 Gen 2 expands along with it. Beyond its dual combination mic/line/instrument inputs and additional rear-panel line inputs, the optical ADAT connection lets you add an eight-channel external preamp for tracking larger ensembles or drum kits. Dedicated 5-pin MIDI connectors and an onboard USB hub make it easy to connect external hardware synths, controllers, and peripherals into a unified workflow.

Complete Production Ecosystem

Every Volt 4 Gen 2 includes a curated collection of world-class UAD plug-ins, giving you direct access to classic EQs, legendary compressors, guitar amplifiers, and virtual instruments used on hit records worldwide. Additionally, you get LUNA — Universal Audio's award-winning DAW designed to deliver authentic "big studio" analog workflow and sound right inside your computer.
